Our Beginning

Tyler Gilson founded Outdoor Oasis in 2020 in order to fulfill a lifelong dream to bring beauty and enjoyment outside and to prove to his children that anything is possible with a dream and hard work. With a degree from Michigan State University in Horticulture with a focus on Landscape Design, Construction and Management and a life steeped in Horticulture, Tyler is proud to bring his knowledge and expertise back home to Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio.

Our Why

In 2019 Tyler learned that he was going to be a father and that inspired him to follow his dream to start his own landscape construction company. His first son, Jameson, was born in 2020 and his second son, Jackson, was born in 2022 and they are the wind behind the Outdoor Oasis sails.

The second part of Why is our team. Although we are a small boutique company, we believe that our team members deserve the best we have to offer. Whether that’s compensation, vacations, appreciation, or the best equipment we work hard everyday to provide our team with the best working environment possible.
